Our history dates back to 1707, when Don Andrea Bottero Bernardi became the first member of the Bottero family to move to Antioquia, known now as Colombia.

Centuries later, in 1892, Don José Jaramillo Vallejo inherited land in the newly discovered Eden Valleys in El Quindio, Colombia where he developed the first ever-coffee plantation in the region, known as “El Arco”.

From 1960 through the 1990s, engineer Dr. Raul Botero Macia, from the 12th generation of Botero’s to settle in Colombia, expanded and industrialized “El Arco.” Here, he developed the “Armenia Supremo,” a soft, aromatic, and flavorful style of coffee; making it one of the most sought after coffees in the world.
